Introducing Vendure plans: Starter, Growth, Scale and Enterprise

Vendure plans are live today. Starter at €199 a month, Growth at €599, Scale at €2,499, each one bought on a card in about the time it takes to type the number in. Enterprise sits above them on contract, from €60,000 a year.

This is the first time you can buy Vendure without talking to us, and it is the biggest change to how Vendure works since we published the first release in 2019. Every plan adds commercial B2B capability on top of the open-source core, and Vendure Core stays free and open source underneath all four.

The short version, in 45 seconds:

The four plans

Plans are cumulative: each one includes everything in the plan below it. So the question is not how much commerce you do, it is which capability is currently blocking you. Prices are flat, with no charge on gross merchandise value, no fee per order and no fee per user.

Every capability, plan by plan, with what each one does.

Compare all 32 capabilities

Select any capability to see what it does. The Starter, Growth and Scale pages each describe the team the plan was built for.

Starter, at €199 a month

The moment a customer asks for one account for their whole business, a consumer checkout runs out of concepts. Starter is the answer to that moment. It gives you company accounts with a customer's buyers underneath them, quotes a buyer can turn into an order without retyping it, saved lists, paste-a-list quick ordering, and a credit balance you hold against an account.

Growth, at €599 a month

Growth is built for distributors and manufacturers whose customers are not single organisations. It adds the account tree: parent companies, subsidiaries, branches and departments, each level with its own addresses, buyers and permissions. Alongside it come lists a customer's whole company shares, selling the same product by unit, box or pallet, gift cards, and one search box across products, orders, customers, collections and assets.

Scale, at €2,499 a month

Scale is for teams whose orders pass through procurement. It adds contract prices with the dates they start and stop applying, approval policies that hold anything over a limit for the right person to sign off, and an audit log of who changed what. On top of that sit single sign-on through the identity provider you already run, search analytics, and a production Next.js B2B storefront wired to everything above it.

Scale is on a card like the other two. If you want to talk it through first, book a call.

Enterprise, from €60,000 a year

Enterprise is a contract with our engineering team attached. It carries the remaining capabilities, including PunchOut, the product configurator and multi-round quote negotiation, plus extensions built with our engineers for your business and maintained against every release. It also carries the contractual terms, the security review and the licensing answer your procurement team will ask for.

Enterprise starts with a conversation about whether the fit is there. Read who Enterprise is for, or work with a Vendure partner who can source and deliver it.

Vendure Core stays free, and we will keep saying so

The plans are additions. Nothing has been taken out of Core and put behind one.

Core keeps the catalogue, orders, customers, payments, promotions, channels, the dashboard, both GraphQL APIs and the plugin model. It keeps monthly patches and quarterly minors. It keeps community support on Discord and GitHub. It keeps GPLv3, with the plugin exception that leaves your own plugins and custom code yours to license as you choose.

That commitment does not rest on trust. A licence already granted cannot be withdrawn, so every version of Core we have released stays free to use, fork and self-host whatever we decide next. There is also a plainer reason to believe it: we make no money from Core. Everything we sell sits on top of it, which is exactly why we can afford to leave Core alone. The Vendure Core page makes the full argument.

Vendure Cloud is coming to every plan

Every paid plan will include a base set of Vendure Cloud resources: managed deployments, databases, backups, recovery and scaling. Usage above that is billed on top of the plan price. Cloud opens as a closed beta for paid plans first, and general availability is planned for Q1 2027. If you subscribe before Cloud launches, your plan price stays the same until 12 months after launch. Until Cloud opens, you run Vendure yourself, exactly as you do today.

One boundary worth stating plainly: Cloud comes with the paid plans. Running Vendure Core costs nothing and always will, and it does not include managed hosting. If you want us to operate the runtime for you, that arrives with a paid plan.

New to Vendure? Start from what you already know

If this is the first you have heard of us, the fastest way to place Vendure is against the platform you run now. We have written a straight comparison for each of the ones we are asked about most, including where Vendure is the weaker choice.

The comparison hub collects all eight, along with the method and the sources behind each one.

If you have already decided to move, the plans change the arithmetic, because there is now a way in that does not begin with an enterprise contract. Our migration hub covers what the move involves platform by platform, and we are adding to it as we go.

The site is new, too

Alongside the plans we rebuilt vendure.io. The navigation now separates what Vendure does from what it costs, every capability has its own page, every plan has its own page, and the comparison and migration guides above did not exist a month ago. It has been an intense few weeks and we are glad it is out.

What these plans are not

Two things worth being clear about while you are deciding.

They are not a replacement for Core. Say your customers place standard orders and pay by card, one login per customer is enough, and published prices apply to everyone. Then Core is all you need, and a paid plan will not add a single thing you use. Plenty of teams run a real commerce business on Core alone and never pay us anything. That is the outcome the licence was chosen to protect.

They are also not an implementation. The plan buys the platform and its capabilities; building your storefront, integrations and workflows is separate work. Your own engineers can do it, a Vendure partner can own it end to end, or Professional Services can support your team through it.
