Every plan. The MCP server and its 42 built-in tools are part of Vendure Framework from version 3.8, so they run on the free Framework too. Vendure Platform adds MCP tools for its capabilities, and each plan gets the tools of the capabilities it includes: company account and quote tools from Starter, for example, and PunchOut and product configurator tools on Enterprise.
Only if you let it. The agent acts as a signed-in administrator or customer, so it has their permissions and nothing more. You can switch any tool off, and refunds, cancellations and placed orders ask for confirmation first.
Any MCP client that connects to a remote server by URL, for example Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex and GitHub Copilot.
Nothing to start. To let their own assistant act for them, a customer approves it once on a consent page in your storefront, and can revoke it from their account.
