Month in Review: September 2025

DH
David HöckCEO & Co-Founder, Vendure
September was a month of hard decisions, transparent communication, and impressive output. We shipped our final v3.4.x patch, published twelve in-depth articles, and had candid conversations with our community about timelines and trade-offs.

React Dashboard Update: Transparency Over Everything

We missed our September deadline for the React Dashboard v1 release. There's no sugarcoating it. When urgent client work demanded our attention, we had to make a choice that every bootstrapped company faces: prioritize immediate business needs to keep the team running.

The reality of building a sustainable company without external funding means making tough calls. We chose to be upfront with our community about this delay rather than rushing out an incomplete product.

The good news? We're back at full speed. The dashboard now has complete feature parity with the legacy Angular Admin UI, includes several UI/UX improvements, and even adds features that weren't in the original version. Our new target is October 2025, with a firm commitment to deliver by Halloween eve at the latest.

Version 3.4.2: The Final Patch

We released v3.4.2 as the last patch version in the v3.4.x series. This sets the stage for v3.5.0, which will include the new React Dashboard for general availability. The release maintains our commitment to stability while we prepare for the next major feature launch.

Community Engagement: Live Debugging and Real Stories

Housein took bug hunting public with a live-stream on our YouTube channel. Watching a real debugging session in our CLI gives developers an authentic look at how we approach problems. No scripts, no perfect takes—just real development work.

Our featured case study this month showcased Hans Kohler AG, a steel trader who unified their B2B and B2C operations on a single Vendure platform. Real businesses solving real problems—this is what drives our development priorities.

Enterprise Interest and Upcoming Case Studies

September brought exciting conversations with larger companies evaluating Vendure for their e-commerce migrations. These discussions give us direct insight into enterprise requirements and help shape our roadmap.

We're working on several new case studies that will be published over the coming months. Expect to see more real-world implementations and architecture decisions from companies at scale.
