Community Growth

We believe that ground breaking innovation happens within vibrant communities

Vendure is amongst the most sophisticated headless commerce platforms worldwide and we got to this stage without spending a single penny on product development. Of course our founders invested a huge amount of time in product development, but without our 170+ contributors this would have never been possible. Some of the greatest improvements of our platform came out of open source contributions. That strengthens our belief: Open source software eats the world.

Cultivating a culture based on our core values

Culture eats strategy for breakfast. That couldn't be more true for open source communities. We want people to feel welcomed when joining our community. We want them to ask questions and don't feel stupid about that. The Vendure community should be a place, where you love to hang out and work on the OS project together with thousands of others that share the same spirit.

Balancing open source and commercial interests

A self-sustaining commercial business model is the backbone for a successful open core business model. While the Vendure core team is now focusing on the commercial aspects, we felt the need for a governing body that represents the interests of the open source community. That helps us to follow the path of monetization without hurting the OS project.

Driving community growth across the globe

We all want the Vendure community to grow. The more people using Vendure, the more improvements will come the platform. Furthermore, more edge-cases and core issues will be discovered and fixed, which makes the platform more stable and improves developer experience. Two areas which are extremely important to us and are excellent arguments for using our platform.
